With my current pregnancy I had a feint squinty line immediately then a line after 2 mins and a super dark line after 5 mins. Sounds positive to me - the really faint squinty line wouldn't be an evaporation line if you saw it straight away (ie under 5 mins) and you don't get even a faint line with no HCG.
